Otoparsan, Automotive Parts Industry was established in 1986 at present location, Yakacık. At the beginning, mainly manufactured special cutting tools, apparatus, master and autmotive parts. Starting from 1990, due to increasing demand of automotive parts, other studied subjects was abandoned and by making additional machinary investments on rod, axle , flange and bushing type automotive parts were accelerated, which needs forging, heat treatment, external-internal surface grinding and supefinish. In 1998, due to decreasing demands of automotive parts to drawing factries, metal jacketed nibs, drawing dies and nibs, to needle roller market special type cylindrical/conical needle roller and inner ring and electromechanical parts production form Electrical Industry gained importance. Shaft sleeve (hard chromium plated and grinded) production of water and oil pumps has started in year 2000. |

My dear friend, I am happy to declare that 100.000 cars are produced by the date 10.12.1991, in less than one year only in ten months.This successful result gained by Tofaş, is not a success if only Turkish Automotive Industry, but also a success of Turkish supporting Industries. Therefore I congratulate your success with all my faith and sincerity. I absolutely believe that the only way to escalate Turkey to the phase of producing cars in world standarts, depends on local component production Industry. As you know in this field, we never took the easy way. Present capacity of Tofaş is nearly 150.000 cars per year. Our nearest goal is to produce 200.000 cars per year.
